Life Changes & New Meds Coming Soon (Tecfidera)
Tweet May 22, 2013 10:49pm Hi everyone! I have been terrible about keeping up with my blog for the past month. After my blog was fixed, I thought I would jump back in and start blogging each night. I had become so disciplined for the first 18 months of blogging and then, life got in the way of blogging about my life! Maybe you will understand a bit more once I explain what has been going on. Over the past few months I completed an entire rebrand of my business, moved in and decorated a new office space and moved in with my boyfriend! Life is certainly busy and I am looking forward to the long weekend. I honestly feel like I have been running a marathon every day. Speaking of marathons each day, the incredible non-profit, MS Run the US, is well on...

Tweet April 28, 2013 We did it! Today was our second year participating in Walk MS NYC. The day was absolutely perfect. The sun was beaming, the breeze was perfect, and my amazing friends all arrived on time (yes…I am so type A) and in good spirits– bright and early on a Sunday morning! Walk MS NYC was an absolute blast this year. There is nothing better than raising money for a great cause that directly impacts my life as well as so many others, all while spending quality time with my best friends. A big thank you to everyone who donated money that raises funds for the National MS Society. Thank you to BNI 53 for your generous donations throughout the tee-shirt fundraiser as well as my entire team who came out today for the second year in...
Read MoreThe Power of Connection- Montel and MS Run the US
Tweet April 3, 2013 9:42pm Today was an incredible day for me. When I was first diagnosed with MS, I began to do a lot of research online. One of the first things I found out was that Montel Williams also has MS. I started watching videos of his appearances on the Dr. Oz show and naturally I began reading everything on his Facebook page. I was inspired. He has been through such a journey with this disease and has used his celebrity to help others. I am in awe of this man and so grateful for the opportunity to get to speak with him and connect with him on the Google+ Hangout today. So how did this all come about? Last year, I was contacted by the amazing and inspiring Ashley Kumlien. Ashley had started the Charity, MS Run the US. She...

Read MoreMy Blog is Back!
Tweet March 15, 2013 4:25pm My blog is officially back! Let me explain why I have been gone so long. Unfortunately, someone had installed a virus on my site and I was unable to fix it. However, it is now fixed and back up and running and I promise it is completely safe to go to. So here I am… almost 4 months since my last blog post back in November. A lot has happened and I am so excited to share all of the amazing things that have been going on in my life and I am looking forward to re-connecting with each of you! Thankfully, besides being a bit tired over the past few weeks, I have been feeling very well. My last MRI showed no major changes and I have been keeping healthy… and HAPPY! Last week I returned from a quick trip with my best...
Read MoreThe Aftermath of Sandy
Tweet November 5, 2012 5:26pm Today is my first day back blogging since Hurricane Sandy. I have wanted to write each day since the storm but felt as though my thoughts and what I have to say was so insignificant when looking at the magnitude of destruction and lives lost this past week. I spent last Monday evening worrying about my friends and family who are located in all parts of NYC, Brooklyn, Long Island and Maryland. On Tuesday evening I found out that my grandma’s house on Long Island was under water. Both my grandmother and uncle were rescued by the National Guard on Tuesday afternoon as they were trapped in house filling with water. I spent much of last week and even today I still feel this sense of “survivors guilt”. Here I...
Read MoreSandy oh Sandy
Tweet October 28, 2012 5:10pm It has been about a week since my last blog post. While I can only blame a busy week and weekend on my lack of blogging, I thought it would be appropriate to share my thoughts and potential concerns tonight. The last time I heard the name Sandy so many times is when I played Sandy in Grease in my camp production in 1996 I believe. As the storm approaches over the next 24 hours, all I can think about is everyone’s safety. Mother nature is such a strange concept and storms like this are quite unpredictable. While all we can do is prepare and pray that the storm is not as bad as they say it is going to be, I am still quite nervous about what is to come. Watching the news is quite depressing and I must say,...
